These terms and conditions (“Terms”) apply to each purchase of goods made from our website www.teakunique.co.uk, by telephone 01730 239 232, by email firstname.lastname@example.org, or at our showrooms or events. We may change or update these Terms from time to time and will publish any changes on this website.
By making a purchase from us you undertake that all products ordered are for your own use and not under any circumstances for resale.
These Terms are governed by English law and are subject to the jurisdiction of the English courts.
We try to ensure that all product descriptions, images and prices that appear on our website are accurate. However, sometimes mistakes happen and in the event of any errors on our website, we will rectify the error as soon as reasonably possible and inform you of any error relating to any product you have ordered.
If there is an error in the availability information of any products we will contact you as soon as is reasonably possible and you may either confirm the order to be delivered at a later date once stocks are available or cancel the order.
If there is an error in the pricing of any products we will contact you as soon as is reasonably possible and you may either confirm the order at the correct price or cancel the order.
The colours of products as they appear on your monitor and as they actually appear may be slightly different due to factors such as your monitor display settings and, for photographs, the lighting conditions at the time. Teak is a natural product, and although we try our best to ensure consistency, sometimes the wood may be slightly different in colour for the same products and we cannot accept returns for this reason.
Before placing your order, please make sure you have entered all information correctly and check the delivery location dimensions to ensure your order will fit and that there is sufficient access to deliver it.
All products must be paid for in full at the time of ordering. When we accept your online, telephone or email order we will send you an email confirming the details of your order. For orders placed at our showrooms or events, a receipt will be given, until then there is no contract between you and us.
Gift card orders can only be redeemed by telephone, by email, or at showrooms or events until further notice. Gift cards are valid for one year from purchase.
Teakunique Bespoke is a service, which allows you to customise your furniture. Please note we do not hold stock of customised furniture or cushions, so it will take us a minimum of 3 months to produce your bespoke furniture, and up to 1 month to produce your bespoke cushions. Occasionally due to unforeseen circumstances the lead-time might be longer, in which case we will inform you as soon as we become aware of it.
We will aim to deliver your order within 3 to 14 days. When we accept your order, you will be contacted to confirm the estimated delivery date (or arrange a mutually convenient collection date). You will then be contacted again within 2 working days of the confirmed date and be given a 2-hour delivery slot. Someone must be present at the delivery address, and be able to assist with carrying heavier furniture such as tables and benches. Delivery rates apply to UK mainland only – please contact us to obtain a delivery quote for other destinations.
For orders placed on our website, delivery charges are £20 for orders of up to £100, £45 for orders between £101-£250, £70 for orders between £251-£500, and £95 for orders over £501. Alternatively, you may opt to collect from our showroom.
Delivery charges for orders placed by phone, email, or at our showrooms or events, are dependent on distance and size of order. Please contact us for an accurate quotation.
Cancellation and Returns
You can cancel your order within 14 days of receipt of the good(s) for all online, telephone, email and showroom or event orders, and we will refund the cost of the good(s) to you. All we ask is that you pay the full costs of returning the order (or part of the order).
If you place an order using our Teakunique Bespoke service, you can cancel the order within 24 hours of the time the order was made and receive a full refund. After 24 hours and up to 14 days after receipt, we will offer a 50 percent refund if you choose to cancel, with the exception of the Personalise service. . As with our other returns, we ask is that you pay the full costs of returning the order (or part of the order).
Whilst our teak garden furniture is manufactured using the best materials and to the highest standards, faults and defects can occasionally occur. We guarantee to repair or replace defective furniture, depending on age and the nature of the damage.
Unless there is a structural defect in the product delivered to you, we do not accept returns of any products notified to us later than 14 days after receipt.
The products we supply to you will be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose, and as described.
If we deliver any product with a structural defect, please contact us as soon as possible to arrange a repair, replacement or refund.
We will not be liable to you for any indirect losses, including any loss of revenue or profits or any other losses that are not reasonably foreseeable at the time your order is accepted.
We will not be liable to you for any loss you suffer as a result of our being unable to comply with our obligations under these Terms because of circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
These Terms do not affect your statutory rights
We occasionally run promotions offering furniture and services at discounted rates, which are publicised on the news section of our website, and offline. The following terms and conditions apply:
▪ Offers apply to the selected furniture or service stated in the promotional materials
▪ Offers are valid from the start date to the end date stated in the promotional materials
▪ Offers can be redeemed online, by telephone, by email, or at showrooms or events, unless stated in additional terms and conditions.
▪ Offers can not be used in conjunction with any other offers
▪ Discounts do not apply to delivery charges unless stated in additional terms and condition. Where applicable, local delivery means a distance of up to 10 miles from the applicable Showrooms or Events
▪ Any refunds will take into account this discount
▪ Subject to availability
The following additional terms and conditions apply to our South Downs Showroom Open Day promotions:
▪ Free local delivery (within 10 miles) and £15 regional delivery (within 30 miles) of our South Downs showroom for all goods purchased at the Private View (21 April 2017) or Open Day (22 April 2017). Delivery by 5 May – date and time will be set by Teakunique and is non-negotiable.
▪ Free cushions for Sumatra Armchair, Gili Steamer, Benches and Set of Six Riverbank Chairs purchased at the Private View (21 April 2017) or Open Day (22 April 2017).
▪ Two Jasmine Round Folding 90cm tables for £475 (saving of £115) purchased at the Private View (21 April 2017) or Open Day (22 April 2017).
▪ Set of Six Bandung Chairs for Five (saving of between £115-£145 subject to dining chairs or carvers selection) purchased at the Private View (21 April 2017) or Open Day (22 April 2017).
Any of the information we collect from you may be used in one of the following ways:
▪ To improve our website (we continually strive to improve our website offerings based on the information and feedback we receive from you)
▪ To improve customer service (your information helps us to more effectively respond to your customer service requests and support needs)
▪ To administer a contest, promotion, survey or other site feature
▪ To send periodic emails.
The email address you provide for order processing, may be used to send you information and updates pertaining to your order, in addition to receiving occasional company news, updates, related product or service information, etc. If at any time you would like to unsubscribe from receiving future emails, please send an email to email@example.com with ‘unsubscribe’ and your email address stated in the subject line.
We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer to outside parties your personally identifiable information. This does not include trusted third parties who assist us in operating our website, conducting our business, or servicing you, so long as those parties agree to keep this information confidential. We may also release your information when we believe release is appropriate to comply with the law, enforce our site policies, or protect ours or others’ rights, property, or safety. However, non-personally identifiable visitor information may be provided to other parties for marketing, advertising, or other uses.
The copyright in the material and all imagery contained in this website belongs to Teakunique Limited or its licensors. No person may copy, modify, transmit, distribute, display, reproduce, publish, license or create works from any part of this material or otherwise use it for any public or commercial use without the prior express written permission of Teakunique Limited. You may only view or print individual pages for your own personal use.
